Woke Up at 4am, didn't look forward for the trip and i don't know why. Perhaps i have already start to miss home and Singapore already. Reached airport around 5:10am with my uncle,my aunt, my mum and my sis to send me off. Checked in, board the plane and that's where my 42 days of Wuhan's life begin.
Reached Guangzhou airport around noon. While waiting for the domestic flight, we went to explore Guangzhou airport. Me, Hazel, Charmaine and Meow Lin settled down at one of the restaurant and tasted their local desserts.
Arrived Wuhan around evening time and the temperature was like 6 degree Celsius! We were welcomed by a group of WUST students and i was amazed by their superb hospitality. They were friendly and warm, trying very best to introduce the city, the school and the environment to us while we were on the bus to our dormitory.
After settling down, the local students treated us for dinner at a local food store, brought us to a convenient store to get our basic necessaries, brought us back to the dorm and prepare ourselves for the next day.
Reflection
Really had a great experience taking long hours flight and arriving in Wuhan. The warm welcome given by the students here really amazed me as i didn't expect them to bring us around and treated us to a very appetizing first dinner. Although they are communication barriers, they tried their very best to speak to us in English and answering to our queries. Our first day spent in Wuhan is short and i really hope we can get to know more about the lifestyle here for the next 41 days.
